Will it work on my phone?Unlocked phones with a SIM slot

The 3-in-1 SIM card fits standard, micro and nano slots and works in unlocked phones with a physical SIM slot. Phones with eSIM only (for example recent iPhones sold in the US) need our Europe eSIM instead. If your phone shows ‘blocked’, ‘barred’, ‘incorrect SIM’ or ‘SP lock’, ask your current provider for the unlock code.

How fast is delivery?Free, 2 to 10 days in the EU

Delivery is free. Within the EU it takes 2 to 10 days, outside the EU 10 to 14 days. Need it faster? DHL Express delivers the next working day within Germany, for an extra charge. Order in good time before you travel.

Do I get a phone number?With calls & texts

Plans with calls and texts come with a UK phone number (+44). Data-only plans have no phone number, and WhatsApp keeps working with your current number.

How do I activate it?Online, 3 to 5 days ahead

Send your activation request online 3 to 5 days before you travel. Activation can take up to 24 hours. Then insert the SIM card when you arrive.

How much data do I need?

Start with your own phone. Its settings show how much mobile data you used last month, and which apps used it. Then allow for how you plan to use your phone on the trip.

  • Maps and navigation (for example Google Maps)about 6 to 12 MB an hour
  • Social media (for example Facebook)about 60 to 120 MB an hour, more with videos
  • Video calls (for example WhatsApp), depending on app and qualityabout 90 MB to 1.4 GB an hour
  • Streaming (for example Netflix)about 0.3 GB an hour on low quality, up to 3 GB in HD

Check the days too: a 7-day plan does not cover a 14-day trip, even with enough data.
